Museum Item: Votive Chariot, Dupljaja, 2nd millennium BC.*
Digital item: Grandpa’s drivers license from 1924
Donor of digital item: Ivana Ćuković**
Note from Donor:
My grandfather Živojin Matić (1903 – 1998) was a driver for the Ministry of Trade and Industry in the kingdom of Yugoslavia and was amongst the first Belgrade citizens to obtain their drivers license. This license from 1924, like many other of my grandfather’s items, was saved by my grandmother, Živojin’s third wife. Živojin had a strong character that many people could attest to. He studied five different trades, among which was automotive repair.
