Note from donor:
I got this unusual green teddy from my mum in 1959 while I was being treated in a hospital in Sarajevo. My mother brought him to me wrapped in grey paper tied with a string.
The whole time I was in hospital I kept the string and paper under my pillow as it reminded me of home. I was in hospital for almost six months, and in that time this teddy comforted me and became both mother and father.
Though I later received other toy’s, he remained my favourite toy that I took everywhere with me. I still keep him to this day.
