This stone monkey is a parting gift from my friend and colleague, Gordana, after seven years working in the museum. I will remember those seven years for the rest of my life mainly because of the people I worked with, who over time became real friends. Honest, full of understanding, and always there for me no matter how difficult the times. The monkey is a symbol for friendship and support, love and happiness that we shared, and still share between us. It was a difficult decision to leave the museum, as I knew it would change my whole life. Which as predicted, for a short time opened a new chapter in my life. It was like a chapter out of a science fiction story that only happened to other people. I was afraid, but also hopeful that I was doing the right thing.
It turned out well, and I realised that my path must always take me forward. I also know, wherever I go and whatever I do, I will have the support of my friends and family. That knowledge is the greatest support a person can have.
